Residents of the village of Kalinino in the Republic of Khakassia came to Abakan airport to warm up after a power outage. As they explained, they simply have no other choice. Abakan 24 reports this. Footage from the airport is published by local media.
Many residents of Kalinin heat their homes mainly using electric heaters and converters. At night the temperature in the area dropped to -32.
According to the head of the Ust-Abakansky district, Elena Egorova, an emergency power outage in the villages of Kalinino and Novy Rassvet occurred late on Friday evening, teams of repairmen are working on the spot, and light was restored to some streets. But due to the high load on the power grid, emergency outages continue. At 14.00 Abakan time (10.00 Moscow time) an emergency headquarters is scheduled to be held under the leadership of the Deputy Head of Khakassia Yuri Kurlaev.
