Rescuers of Buryatia became champions of the Far Eastern Federal District in athletics

Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Buryatia once again confirmed the title of the best runners among the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District, taking first place for the third year in a row. The championship in athletics among the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the Far Eastern Federal District, was held from May 18 to 19 in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Belarus, six people went to defend the honor of our republic. The competitions were held in two stages – the individual championship at distances of 3 thousand and 1 thousand meters and the relay race of 400 meters. According to the results of the individual championship, the athletes of Buryatia took the first places – these are Kristinya Belalova and Olga Vislova from the central fire communication center, as well as Evgeniy Kapustin from the crisis management center.
The 4th place was taken by Dmitry Lutsenko, an employee of the department for organizing fire fighting and emergency rescue operations. Bator Rygzynov and Roman Samigulin from fire and rescue units No. 73 and No. 3 shared 5th place.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations adds that athletes Kristinya Belalova, Evgeny Kapustin and Olga Vislova will represent the Far East at the Russian Championship as part of the district team. It will take place in Volgograd.
