Representatives of the CSTO headquarters arrived in Armenia

An operational group of the CSTO joint headquarters arrived in Armenia. This was reported by the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry.
The main purpose of the group’s arrival is to conduct monitoring on the border with Azerbaijan. The group is headed by the head of the CSTO Joint Staff, Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov. He has already met with Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan.
The need for the arrival of the group is dictated by the difficult situation on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan. After the escalation of hostilities, Armenia turned to the CSTO. The organization decided to send a mission to the region headed by CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas.
Recall that the clashes between Azerbaijan and Armenia began on the night of September 13. Armenia claims massive shelling from the Azerbaijani side.
