Tula hosted the competition, and four hundred “lifters” from all over Russia gathered there.
Olga Golovataya from Krasnoperekopsk has “gold” in the classic bench press in the category up to 52 kg.
Sergei Yakush, representing Primorsky Krai and Crimea and competing in the up to 105 kg category in the equipment division, managed to set a new Russian record by pressing a barbell weighing 350 kg! Quite expectedly, the record weight brought the record holder the “gold” of the competition.
Sevastopol resident Alexey Nazarenko won a silver medal in the category up to 83 kg in the classic bench press.
And finally, the fourth medal taken to the peninsula was won by another Sevastopol resident, Alexander Dolenko. In the up to 120 kg category in the equipment division, he took bronze.
