Representatives of PMC Ryodan spoke about the problems: as if they were in the nineties

The history of “PMC Ryodan” began with a brawl of teenagers in the Moscow shopping center “Aviapark”. Young people from two companies did not share chairs.

Later it turned out that the relationship was sorted out by representatives of two youth subcultures, one of which was PMC Ryodan. Video of the showdown went viral on the web. Then came the insults in the chat rooms. The Redanovites insulted the “officers” (a football fan movement, its members resolve issues with their fists). Those, in turn, threatened anime fans. Videos of skirmishes from different cities of Russia appeared on the Web: Barnaul, Ulyanovsk, Krasnodar, Ufa, Petrozavodsk, Krasnoyarsk, Omsk, Vladikavkaz, Izhevsk, Pskov … Law enforcement officers began to severely suppress this, but not everywhere it was possible.

A young man shared his sad experience in the chat: “I came to the shopping center to see the situation, just for fun. The guys got to the bottom of me, forced me to show the phone. They saw the corresponding channel, dragged me to the toilet, presented a knife to my throat. They cut their hair there. Well the guards led us out of the toilet. But then he left. But they didn’t leave me behind: they beat me on the backpack, chopped off another tuft of hair … ”

Finding people involved in the Ryodan PMC is not easy. Here in the avatar is a young man with long hair, he is wearing a longsleeve with a spider – this is exactly the kind of clothes the Redanovites wear. On my offer to talk, he replied: “I have nothing to do with Ryodan, but I bought a jacket a long time ago.”

They explained to me that the Redanovites lay low.

These are the dialogues conducted in chat rooms by supporters and opponents of PMC Ryodan.

– Where was it that the guys grew long hair, painted their nails and walked in pajamas? These fools are dishonoring the motherland.

– Everywhere and always it was. In the 90s, “skins” beat those who wore “pipes”.

– It’s a pity for the guys who beat each other just like that. It doesn’t matter to anyone whether you’re a spider or not.

– I’m waiting to become a TV star. I will apologize for the spiders. Feeling like I was in the 90s, although I have never been there …

“I was lured into a meeting”

I watched dozens of beating videos. Most often, Redanovites become victims. Skinhead young people cut off their hair, kick them, humiliate them, make them apologize to the camera. After such incidents, the Redanovites began to get rid of their attributes. In recent days, a huge number of plaid pants and hoodies with the image of spiders have appeared on classifieds sites. Under one of the ads there is a comment: “Redan pants, size M. I bought a year ago. Selling due to events. I won’t go to the meeting. Already wanted to put out the crowd. Delivery only.

The seller turned out to be a 9th grade student from Arkhangelsk.

“Unfortunately, they even got to me,” the young man began. – I was not interested in the topic myself, I was not fond of anime, I learned about what was happening from a classmate. When I saw a video where a group of people threaten a guy with long hair, I noticed that he was wearing the same plaid pants as mine.

It turned out that such trousers are one of the main attributes of the members of the sensational group. I decided to get rid of them. But it turned out to be difficult to do so. As soon as I posted the ad, I began to receive strange offers from people, each offering to meet in person. Everyone was interested in my age. This alarmed me.

Then a certain Nikita wrote to me, said that he really needed such pants, and he was ready to overpay for them. I was seduced, offered to arrange delivery. But he insisted on a personal meeting. We met at the mall at 22:30. Fortunately for me, I always carry a gas canister with me, though I never used it, I didn’t think it would come in handy.

Together with Nikita, two guys of about twenty came to the meeting. One of them was bald, the other had a football fan-favorite patch on his arm. I realized that these were “officers”, but it was too late.

The guy with the patch whistled. Another 6-7 people came out from around the corner and surrounded me. One of them tore off my hat. Everyone saw that I had long hair. These criteria were enough for them to classify me as a member of Ryodan. The largest of the “buyers” began to run into me, insult me, threaten me with reprisals. Claimed that I insulted their movement. They grabbed me by the shoulders and hit me on the legs. I fell. I couldn’t get up, they kept me. Their leader said that I should apologize to the camera, give my name and surname. To my excuses that I am not a Ryodan, one of the guys hit me on the cheek with his palm.

The crowd laughed, they filmed what was happening on their phones. They held knives in their hands. I quietly pulled a gas canister out of my pocket. He held his breath, closed his eyes and pressed the button. Everyone started screaming and coughing. I ran towards the road. I ran into the store, bought milk, washed my eyes. I was lucky that the “officers” did not catch up with me.

At home, I immediately blocked Nikita, all correspondence disappeared. It was a mistake, now I have no evidence to go to the police. After this situation, I indicated in the announcement of the sale that the pants are ready to be sent exclusively by delivery.

Parents don’t know what happened. I don’t want to be worried. I’m not going to shave. But I definitely won’t wear clothes with the image of spiders and checkered pants.

I don’t know if anyone else in our city has come across this, I try not to discuss this topic.

And malls are the safest places right now. The police are constantly on duty in our city. So now it’s much more dangerous to walk down the street.

Another similar case was told by a resident of the Krasnodar Territory.

– Recently, my 14-year-old brother was walking in the evening with friends. A company of 3-4 people became attached to them, they were 16-18 years old. They “asked for the ryodan”. They sent the injury to my brother. The conflict was resolved. The brother was able to convey to them that he was not from this group. I want to note that there were no identification marks with spiders on it.

And even now it does not matter if you have a jacket with a spider or not. If you have an informal appearance, you are not bald, you will still be mistaken for a Redanovite, – says the girl. – My brother had a jacket with a spider at home, he recently bought it. After these events, he decided to sell it.

I found a buyer via the Internet, but the delivery could not be arranged. But at the point of receiving orders, they did not accept the goods from him. The guard explained that the company’s management had told them not to accept such things.

There are no large shopping centers in our city, so anti-ryodan supporters on the street catch people who, in their opinion, have a non-standard appearance. The police don’t follow it. School teachers do not raise the topic. Teenagers will not complain to their parents, they are afraid of their reaction.

“We won’t reach an understanding with the deputies”

19-year-old Vanya is the administrator of the thematic group. He explains, “We are the new generation of Ryodan. We oppose the current “Ryodan”, in which most people are toxic. We are for stopping this nightmare. Many of us are fond of sports, music, attend circles, study. Everyone thinks about the future. Someone wants to open their own business or become a media personality in the Internet space. Someone just wants to find a good job and start a family. In general, fans of “Ryodan” unite to find friends with the same interests. After all, many of them are lonely, and such a community saves.

– They wanted to invite representatives of PMC Ryodan to the State Duma. Do you think there would be a conversation?

– In the Duma sit grown-up people who were brought up in the USSR. Due to different upbringing, they are unlikely to understand the youth. I have no idea what they were going to talk about. And most importantly, with whom? The culture of “Ryodan” is free, there are no founders and chiefs.

– A certain Senya Almutov, the administrator of the online community, told reporters that he was ready to discuss the situation around the PMC with parliamentarians. Maybe he’s in charge?

– I have no idea who it is. He is nobody. Now everyone wants to hype on this topic. Communities are growing like mushrooms. I don’t know where the real is anymore. By the way, I could also discuss the problem with the deputies. We don’t want to be beaten in the streets.

– Officials have suggested that representatives of unfriendly countries are behind you, the purpose of which is to destabilize the situation through youth.

– Seriously? So they said? I do not believe.

The hype began after the subscribers of PMC Ryodan began to leave insults on the Web. These were Internet trolls, because of which now everyone hated the adequate Redanovites. The officers got angry. Danger lies in wait for us everywhere. You have to keep your hand on the pepper spray. And the police constantly detain us just because of our appearance or clothes.

Do your parents know what’s going on?

– Mom needs the Internet to watch movies and TV shows. She doesn’t know anything about it.

“The founder is a certain Ali”

The 16-year-old administrator of one of the Ryodan PMC chat rooms immediately made a reservation before the conversation that he did not support the Redanites, since they were provocateurs. When asked why he took such a name for his channel, he answers: “Many took it. The herd instinct kicked in. The guys are trying to hype on channel names and gain a large audience. But the hype was caught mainly by streamers and sellers of long sleeves.

– “Ryodan” was established back in 2019. The whole story comes from the anime, which tells about the Ryodan group, which commits crimes. Their clothing style is a black longsleeve with a spider and the number 4, which in Japan means death and trouble, says the teenager.

According to the interlocutor, the founder of PMC Ryodan is a certain Ali Ryodan.

– They took the abbreviation “PMC” foolishly. They began to drown for the freedom of style, they spoke unflatteringly about skinheads, football fans, which led to mass fights and showdowns, the young man continues. – This Ali “officers” caught and shaved. Then he kind of apologized for his behavior, but it was too late.

– How would you characterize the supporters of “Ryodan” and “ofniks”?

– Redanovtsy are teenagers who have no interest in life, they lack attention. But among them there are those who just like this style of clothing. “Officers” – a gopota that gets to the bottom of people.

The guys run after each other, it comes to serious fights, burning long sleeves, Redanians are humiliated, their phones are looked through.

It’s not easy for anime people these days. Recently, my friend was picked up by the police because he has long hair and looks like he was in a fight. Half an hour in the cold, he argued that it had nothing to do with it. Now you can walk down the street and be stopped and asked, “Are you from Ryodan?” Of course, the person will answer “no” so as not to be beaten.

“Anyone in plaid pants is under attack”

In chat rooms where there is the name “Ryodan”, those who support anime people and those who oppose are sitting. We listened to the opinions of active subscribers.

Kirill: “The concept of “Ryodan” actually never existed. It’s just that a couple of years ago, a man created clothes from anime with “ryodan”, many people wore them. At some point, anime people had an idea to create a Ryodan group. The goal was not violence, insult. They wanted to walk together, go to concerts. Consider that the group was originally created as a dating site for finding friends.

I spoke with some Redans. These are ordinary lonely guys who hang out on the Internet all day long, they have no friends, but they have a lot of psychological problems.

After the hype around the subculture, “pseudo-ryodans” appeared. They just started writing provocative texts, insults to other groups, which set up harmless anime people. Now anyone with long hair and plaid pants is under attack.”

Denis: “Every day there are more and more incomprehensible people who support Ryodan and insult representatives of other subcultures. The so-called “officers” do not really understand who is who.

Azamat: “I am confused by the behavior of the representatives of the “ryodans”. The average age of the children is 14-17 years old. As I understood from communication with them, most of them are not from the most prosperous and incomplete families. In chats, they are not shy in expressions, use profanity. Recently I came to the mall, sat in the food court area. Nearby, a company of teenagers drank alcohol poured into coffee glasses. They yelled obscenities, ran after each other, reacted aggressively to remarks. It’s stressing me out. And the police are now inspecting everyone who outwardly looks like a Redanovite or an “officer”.

I wear a tracksuit, berets and bald. In their understanding, I am an “officer in hell”. Is that what I need?”
