“Removal of unnecessary things”: most often in Moscow they throw away washing machines

The washing machine has become the most frequently thrown item among the residents of the capital, informs RBC with reference to the city service “Removal of unnecessary things”.
In total, during the work of the “Export of unnecessary things”, a year and a half, the service employees took out 850 tons of various items. Most often, Muscovites applied for the removal of washing machines – 9595 times.
Refrigerators are practically next – their inhabitants of Moscow handed over 9574 times. In third place, far behind, are gas stoves – they were taken out 3637 times.
“Export of unnecessary things” sends old household appliances for recycling, 85% of which becomes recyclable.
Recall that since March 1, 2022, Russia has banned household appliances, computer system units, boards, and hard drives from being thrown into garbage containers: instead, items must be sent for recycling.
