Registration for the STEAM Robotics Championship has started in Moscow

Schoolchildren and students from 12 to 18 years old from Moscow and the Moscow region will be able to take part in the competition. Registration will last until December 8 at website.
The championship itself will take place in February 2023. Its participants will be given the task to design, assemble, program and test a unique robot. The winners of the championship will receive a quota for participation in the national championship, and in April they will defend the honor of the capital in Yekaterinburg.
As for the intellectual competition program, in order to participate in the championship, the guys will need to create a team to develop their project. Each of them can consist of two to fifteen people. These are not only future robotic engineers and programmers, but also marketers, designers, financiers and journalists. Before the start of the championship, the teams will be able to hold friendly matches. Their results will be taken into account in the activity rating.
As the head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of the City of Moscow said Alexey Fursin, participants of the championship develop their knowledge and skills in various fields: natural sciences, technology, design and mathematics and apply engineering principles (STEAM skills) in practice. And the educational competitions in robotics themselves are held to increase the prestige of engineering professions and support schoolchildren who are engaged in natural science and technical projects.

The STEAM robotics competition is included in the list of intellectual, creative and sports competitions of the Russian Ministry of Education for the 2022/2023 academic year. Winners and prize-winners will be included in the “Talents of the Russian Federation” register and will receive additional points to the results of the Unified State Examination.
