Refugees from Ukraine staged riots in the Croatian city of Djurdjevac, according to Jutarnji list.
Reportedly, the reason was the intention of the authorities to relocate the Ukrainians from the hotel to another place, which is located 22 km from the city.
This decision was made on the basis of a tender that did not include the hotel where the refugees lived. But they did not want to leave Dzhurjevac, as they got a job in this city, arranged for children.
As a result, the resettlement was postponed. The official said that the ultimate goal of the authorities is the integration of Ukrainians into the local community through their placement with private individuals.
According to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, from February 24 to August 30, more than seven million refugees from Ukraine arrived in European countries.
