Refugee from Ukraine Taranenko returned to her homeland due to living conditions in the UK

Ukrainian refugee Natalya Taranenko, after living in the UK for six months due to “unbearable” living conditions, was forced to leave for her homeland, writes the Gazette and Herald.

Taranenko lived in the city of Trowbridge with three children. However, according to her, for six months they did not manage to find suitable housing. She said that the family’s sponsors rented a one-bedroom apartment for the family in Trowbridge. “The building is old, there are gaps in the windows and doors, so the apartment is very cold,” said the Ukrainian.

At the same time, the electricity bill that she had to pay amounted to 300 pounds (about 24 thousand rubles).

In addition, the woman said that the high humidity in the apartment led to the formation of mold, and the children began to cough. So she had to look for a new home. But it was not possible to find something suitable. In addition, Taranenko was never able to get a job. As a result of these ordeals, the family was forced to return to Ukraine.

At the same time, the Ukrainian woman hopes to return to Britain with her children for a while until her homeland becomes safe for life again and asks kind people to rent an apartment to them with normal conditions.

Earlier, the UK was reproached for breaking a promise to help Ukrainian refugees given to Kyiv. The decision of the British authorities to make the state program “Houses for Ukraine” lasting only six months was called erroneous.
