Red Wings Airlines will launch flights from St. Petersburg to Tbilisi from November 18, and to Kutaisi from December. This was reported by press service operator of St. Petersburg Pulkovo Airport.
The plane will fly to Tbilisi once a week on Saturdays (departure at 6:00, arrival at 11:05). From December 2, the airline will launch flights to Kutaisi, also on Saturdays (departure at 17:00, arrival at 22:25).
Flights between Russia and Georgia were stopped in 2019 following a decree by President Vladimir Putin. On May 10 of this year, the president lifted the ban on flights to Georgia for Russian airlines, and as of May 15, he abolished the visa regime for Georgian citizens.
Flights to Georgia are operated by Russian carriers Azimut and Red Wings, as well as the Georgian company Georgian Airways.
