IN press service The Ministry of Internal Affairs explained the closure of Red Square and the Mausoleum to visitors on Saturday, July 22. The presentation of diplomas to graduates of the Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia named after V. Ya. Kikot took place on Red Square. Diplomas were handed over by the head of department Vladimir Kolokoltsev.
During the event, Mr. Kolokoltsev stressed that today police officers also perform tasks in the zone of military operations, and their display of “the highest civil qualities” is considered an example of “valor and true patriotism.” He also noted the courage of graduates shown during the detention of criminals.
According to the press service, this year 159 graduates graduated from the university with honors, 16 with a gold medal, among them there are also those who were awarded scholarships from the President and the Government of the Russian Federation.
July 20 FSO informedthat Red Square and the Mausoleum will not be available for visiting on July 22 due to the event, which one was not specified.
