The government will conduct an experiment on the selection of employees for civil service using artificial intelligence (AI). It will begin on September 1, 2023, follows from the draft government decree published by the Ministry of Digital Development on August 21 on the portal of regulatory legal acts. For this, the State Personnel platform, created on the basis of Gostech, will be used. At the first stage, the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Ministry of Economics and their subordinate organizations will join the experiment (Vedomosti sent inquiries to the ministries).
The platform will automate the processes of selection, professional development, motivation, evaluation of officials, the formation of a professional culture and combating corruption, follows from the document. The experiment will last until November 1, 2024. The purpose of the experiment is “approbation of methods for implementing personnel work using information and communication technologies,” the explanatory note to the document states.
