Rally in support of Palestine begins in Paris

An action in support of the Palestinian population began in the French capital, despite the prefecture’s ban.
Several hundred people gathered in Republic Square, many of them carrying Palestinian flags. Demonstrators’ placards read “Stop Israel!” At the same time, the participants chant: “Israel is a murderer!”, “We are all Palestinians.”
Numerous police squads are on duty around the square and have not yet intervened in what is happening.
The day before, the Prefect of Paris, Laurent Nunez, published a decree prohibiting the demonstration. The head of the French Ministry of Internal Affairs, Gerald Darmanin, demanded that the prefects prohibit any pro-Palestinian actions in the country and arrest their organizers.
Protests in support of Palestine took place after October 7 in Lyon, Marseille, and Nantes. All of them were dispersed by the police.
