Spontaneous rallies in support of the Palestinian movement Hamas took place in the center of Vienna on Saturday evening, RIA Novosti reports, citing a report from the OE24 TV channel.
The story says that the number of protesters was in the dozens, and the rally took place in front of the building of the Federal Chancellor of Austria. The young people carried Palestinian flags and supported the Hamsa movement’s attack on Israel.
At the same time, the Vienna authorities have already responded to the rally, calling it “terrible and unacceptable.”
On the morning of October 7, a massive rocket attack began on populated areas of Israel from the Gaza Strip. According to Israeli military estimates, the number of rockets fired exceeded 3 thousand. In addition, dozens of Hamas militants entered the country. Hamas itself announced Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, addressing the people of Israel, announced that the state was in a state of war.
Mobilization was announced, the Israeli military was clearing out populated areas, but they were unable to completely regain control over the populated areas captured by Hamas. Moscow called on Israel and Palestine to cease fire and return to the negotiating table.
