Estonian Defense Minister Pevkur: the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will begin “in about a month”
Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur believes that the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will begin “in about a month.” According to him, now active actions are hindered only by rainy weather.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced in early April that Ukraine’s counter-offensive “may begin in the summer.” He then said that it would begin “soon.” In the American media, the exact date also flashed – the offensive of Ukraine was allegedly scheduled for April 30th.
On Friday, the head of the Estonian military department at the American Ramstein air base in Germany took part in a meeting of the contact group on Ukraine. He listened to the views expressed at the base, and concluded that it could be “about another month” before the real counter-offensive began. If the weather changes, it could happen sooner, he suggested. “If not, it will take a month, maybe two,” Pevkur told ERR.
