Three new teammates for Julian Alaphilippe at Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl. The team led by Patrick Lefevere announced Thursday on social networks the arrivals of Czech Jan Hirt, Belgian Tim Merlier and Dane Casper Pedersen.
The profiles differ since the first named is a 31-year-old climber poached from Intermarché-Wanty Gobert Matériaux and signed until the end of 2024. Belgian champion Merlier, a 29-year-old sprinter fromAlpecin-Deceuninck, has signed for three seasons and will complete the contribution of Dutchman Fabio Jakobsen. Finally, Casper Pedersen (26) has signed up for two seasons with the team which will be called Soudal-Quick-Step in 2023.
