The Council of Ministers of the resort country of Qatar has lifted all COVID-19 restrictions for tourists, including visiting Russians, according to the Qatar government communications office.
According to a statement from the communications office, tourists no longer need to wear a mask, provide negative PCR test results, and receive health insurance that would cover treatment for coronavirus.
Recall that in mid-February, the authorities simplified the rules for entry for Russian travelers to Tanzania, including the popular island of Zanzibar. The COVID-19 vaccination requirement is no longer valid upon entry to the island.
According to Andrey Avetisyan, head of the Russian diplomatic mission in Tanzania, direct flights between Russia and the island of Zanzibar may soon be opened.
