Pyatibratov appointed head coach of Fakel

Acting head coach of the Voronezh “Fakel” Dmitry Pyatibratov was appointed head coach of the club. The appointment was announced press office “Torch”. The terms of the contract concluded with the new coach of the club are not reported.
Dmitry Pyatibratov has been working at Fakel since October 2020. He served as interim after the departure of the previous coach Oleg Vasilenko. The general director of Fakel, Roman Askhabadze, said that the contract with Vasilenko was terminated by “mutual desire.”
The exact reasons for leaving the coaching post were not named, however, under the leadership of Vasilenko, the club scored three major defeats. Under the leadership of Dmitry Pyatibratov, Fakel defeated Lokomotiv 2-0 in the RPL match, but lost to Spartak in the away match of the Russian Cup group stage (0-3).
Until 2020, Pyatibratov coached the teams of Mordovia, Sochi, Zhemchuzhina and the players of the Lithuanian club Trakai. As a footballer, Pyatibratov played for Alania Vladikavkaz, Volgar Astrakhan, Mordovia, Ryazan and Amkar Perm.
Fakel is 14th in the Russian Premier League rankings with seven points in nine matches. On September 18, Fakel will play away with Sochi.
