China commented on Putin’s words about Russia’s technical readiness for nuclear war

Countries possessing nuclear weapons must maintain global strategic balance and stability. This statement was made by the official representative of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Wang Wenbin, commenting on the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the country’s technical readiness for nuclear war.

As he writes “Tsargrad”, Western media saw the Russian president’s words as a message of “nuclear warning.” Relevant publications appeared on the main pages of websites and the front pages of newspapers of leading foreign media.

Wang Wenbin stressed that nuclear powers must take real action to promote de-escalation.

An official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry recalled that in January 2022, Russia, China, the United States, France and Great Britain issued a joint statement on the prevention of nuclear war. Then all parties agreed that there could be no winners in such a conflict.

Wang Wenbin also noted that Moscow has repeatedly confirmed the principle of the inadmissibility of war using nuclear weapons.

Let us recall that in his interview with Dmitry Kiselev, Vladimir Putin said that Russia is ready to use nuclear weapons if it comes to a threat to the existence of the state, harming the sovereignty and independence of the country.
