Putin’s headquarters collected signatures from all regions of Russia – Kommersant

The election headquarters of self-nominated presidential candidate Vladimir Putin received signatures from another 12 Russian regions. Thus, the first batch of signatures from all 89 regions was collected, it is reported on website headquarters

Today, the election headquarters received signatures from Yakutia and Buryatia, the Jewish Autonomous Region and the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, the Trans-Baikal, Kamchatka, Primorsky and Khabarovsk territories, the Amur, Magadan, Sakhalin and Nizhny Novgorod regions. The collection of signatures continues. At the same time, the signature sheets already brought to the headquarters will be checked.

The collection of signatures in support of the self-nomination of the current president began on December 23. To register as a candidate for elections, a self-nominated candidate must submit from 300 thousand to 315 thousand signatures, but not more than 7.5 thousand from each region, by January 31. For the first time, presidential elections will take place over three days, from March 15 to 17. There are currently 11 candidates vying for the presidency. In addition to Vladimir Putin, these are Vladislav Davankov from the “New People”, Leonid Slutsky from the LDPR, Nikolai Kharitonov from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Sergei Baburin from the “Russian All-People’s Union”, Andrei Bogdanov from the Russian Freedom and Justice Party, Boris Nadezhdin from the “Civil Initiative”, Sergei Malinkovich from “Communists of Russia”, Irina Sviridova from the Democratic Party of Russia, as well as bloggers Rada of Russians and Anatoly Batashev as self-nominated candidates.
