Dmitry Peskov announced the “Results of the Year with Vladimir Putin” program, which this year will combine a direct line and the final press conference of the president.
Peskov clarified that, as before, this is a project of television channels. During the program, regional, federal and foreign journalists accredited in the Russian Federation will be in a special studio, who will be able to ask questions to Vladimir Putin.
As for questions from citizens, their reception will begin on December 1. “We will collect questions on the toll-free number 88002004040,” Peskov clarified. In addition, citizens will be able to send a free SMS to number 04040 or go to the Moscow-Putin.ru website and “see all the options for asking a question.” According to the Kremlin speaker, “there is an application for Android that will work this year.”
Peskov noted that this year there was an “innovation” in the organization of the direct line – the ONF joined the project, whose employees will collect questions.
The press secretary explained that the choice of the ONF is explained by established practice: after each “direct line” of the president, Popular Front employees processed all citizens’ appeals for a year, without missing a single question. “And now, after the completion of the program (“Results of the year with Vladimir Putin”), they will work to not leave a single appeal unattended.”
Peskov noted that the direct line with the president “does not have a clear timing.” “This is a very long and meaningful event of a special nature,” he emphasized.
