Putin will not come to the opening of the Russia Forum at VDNKh – Kommersant

Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told the journalist that President Vladimir Putin will not come to the opening of the exhibition-forum “Russia”, which will open on November 4 on the territory of VDNKh in Moscow. According to the press secretary, the president will “one way or another” view the exhibition.

“He won’t come to the opening, but the fact that one way or another he will watch it, of course, is a must. The exhibition is really worth seeing. There is a gigantic amount of work there,” said Mr. Peskov (quoted by TASS).

The holding of the international exhibition and forum “Russia” was approved by Vladimir Putin’s decree of March 29. The event will take place from November 4 to April 12. According to Kommersant, the exhibition at VDNKh is considered “one of the key campaign lines in the campaign of the main candidate from the government” in the 2024 presidential elections. Mr. Putin has not yet announced his intention to participate in the campaign.
