In the next 24 hours, President Vladimir Putin will discuss with Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu the difficulties faced by the families of those killed during the military operation. He said this on meeting in Novo-Ogarevo with relatives of the deceased SVO participants.

“Tomorrow I will talk with the Minister of Defense,” said Mr. Putin (quoted by Interfax).

At the meeting, the president was told about problems with processing federal payments to the relatives of the victims. Some, six months after the death of a SVO participant, were able to receive only regional payments. The head of state was also told about the difficulties with obtaining a military mortgage and with payments to families who are not at the place of registration of the deceased. There are delays in payments from insurance companies.

The President promised to discuss all these issues with the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and insurance companies. He noted that he invited the relatives of the victims to personally hear about the problems.

After meeting with the relatives of those killed during the military operation, Vladimir Putin attended a Christmas service at the Church of the Savior Not Made by Hands, which is located on the territory of the Novo-Ogarevo residence.
