Russian President Vladimir Putin stated the need to attract talented foreigners to the Russian space industry.
Putin held a meeting with young scientists and space industry specialists.
According to him, this is a good idea, especially if foreign specialists are already in Russia and speak Russian.
“If these are talented young people who are passionate about this type of activity, then, of course, yes,” the president said, noting that such steps will contribute to the development of cooperation with other states in the field of space exploration.
“Moreover, since they were sent from other countries, we can think about how we can build relationships in this area with our partners so that they do not lose these people forever,” he said.
Putin also said that it is necessary to consider a system of benefits for specialists working in the space industry, and noted that he was surprised by the salaries of specialists in this field. According to him, the issue of increasing the salaries of employees in this category will be worked out.
