Putin at the Security Council urged to prevent the buildup of the situation in Russia
Russian President Vladimir Putin, opening a meeting with permanent members of the Russian Security Council, said that the authorities should do everything to prevent destabilization of the situation in the country.
The head of state noted the importance of ensuring Russia’s internal political security “taking into account the efforts” that “our ill-wishers” are making and intensifying in order to stir up the situation inside the Russian Federation. The Russian leader explained that interethnic relations will also be discussed. They, according to Putin, are extremely important for a country where 190 ethnic groups live.
Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev and FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov are expected to make reports at the meeting.
