Putin: those who proved to be competent commanders during the special operation should become a personnel reserve

Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking with a message to the Federal Assembly, said that military personnel who have shown themselves to be competent commanders should serve as a personnel reserve for the Russian armed forces.

“Officers and sergeants who have shown themselves to be competent, resolute commanders should, as a matter of priority, be promoted to higher positions, sent to universities, academies, and serve as a powerful personnel reserve for the armed forces. They should be in demand in the civilian population – in government at all levels,” the president said.

As part of the expansion of the guarantee program for labor collectives, Vladimir Putin proposed launching a special program of preferential rental housing for workers in the military-industrial complex. The President specified that the rental rate under this program would be lower, and part of the amount would be covered by the state.

In addition, during the announcement of the message to the Federal Assembly, the head of state instructed introduce for all participants in the military operation in Ukraine regular leave for 14 days.
