The youth program in Russia does not need to be made “protective”: it must be modern and forward-looking. This statement was made on Thursday, April 4, by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Discussing this topic with members of the Cabinet of Ministers, the head of state emphasized that working with the younger generation “is, of course, broader than just this program,” which “should not be of a protective nature.”
Continuing the topic, Vladimir Putin said that the World Youth Festival will become regular and will be held in Russia every six years.
On February 29, addressing the Federal Assembly with a message, Vladimir Putin announced the introduction of a new national project – “Youth of Russia”. The aspirations of the younger generation are a guarantee of Russia’s sovereignty, the president emphasized, therefore, to improve youth policy a new national project will appear.
In March, Russia hosted World Youth Festival. Communicating with its participants, Vladimir Putin noted that we exist and develop in a diversity of cultures, religions, and traditions. This common space allows us to exchange not only genetic code through the numerous mixed families in Russia, but also cultural code.
