Russian leader Vladimir Putin, during his working trip to Dagestan, recalled that the people of the Russian Federation are multi-confessional, but this only strengthens their unity.
During his visit to the Juma mosque, the head of state recalled that the primate of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, always called Muslims brothers. Putin stressed that “this is true,” and also noted that “this strengthens the unity of our people.”
Earlier, on June 28, Vladimir Putin congratulated Russian Muslims on Eid al-Adha. He pointed out that the Muslim holiday has a deep moral and spiritual meaning, serves to affirm the ideals of kindness, mercy and justice in society.
The Russian leader also noted that Muslim fighters during the special military operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine show selflessness, bravery and courage.
