Putin thanked the entire Russian people for heroism

Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked all the Russians who take part in one form or another in the special operation in Ukraine, and apologized for not being able to name all those involved. He stated this during his message to the Federal Assembly.

“When I was preparing, I wrote a long list of all the heroic units. Then he took it out – he was afraid to offend everyone whom I would not name. It is impossible to name everyone, and I was simply afraid to offend those whom I would not name. A deep bow to the parents, wives, families of our defenders, doctors, paramedics, sanitary structures, nurses who save the wounded,” he said.

Putin also expressed his gratitude to the railroad workers and drivers who supply the front, the builders who build fortifications and restore housing, roads, civilian facilities, as well as journalists.

During his speech, the President also honored with a minute of silence the fighters who gave their lives for Russia, civilians who died under the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Putin also called for care and honor to be given to families who have lost loved ones during the SVO, proposing the creation of a special fund that will provide them with comprehensive targeted support.

Earlier in December 2022, Putin said that every Russian fighter on the front line in the special operation zone is a hero for him personally and for all Russians.

November 25, Putin during a meeting with mothers of servicemen named of all participants in the military operation in Ukraine as heroes and added that he personally spoke on the phone with the participants of the NWO and learned information from them. The head of state also noted then that he personally shares the pain of mothers who lost their sons in hostilities.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24. Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.
