Putin thanked State Duma deputies for their support in matters of foreign policy

Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin, thanked the deputies for the work done during the spring session. He pointed to the support of the State Duma in key areas of the country’s development, primarily in the direction of foreign policy.

“Here I see that, in fact, a consensus among all political parties, despite the fact that many colleagues have different approaches to solving social, economic issues, and even some domestic political issues, is natural. But on key points, fateful, or something, key points related to life, with the existence of the Russian state itself, I always feel support from the deputy corps, ”— said head of state.

Vladimir Putin drew attention to the need to continue initiatives to support the participants in the special operation, integrate new territories, as well as other issues of a social nature and economic development. “The economy is the basis for solving all the problems facing our country in general,” the Russian president emphasized.

The final meeting of the spring session of the State Duma was held on July 26. Viacheslav Volodin informedthat since January 9, deputies have adopted 500 laws, 136 of them are socially oriented, 77 related to support for participants in the special operation and their families. Another 54 laws were adopted by the State Duma as part of the integration of new regions. Since the beginning of hostilities in Ukraine, deputies have adopted 192 laws to counter sanctions.
