Putin signed the law on the right to housing for the military sent abroad

President Vladimir Putin signed a law that secures the right of servicemen sent to serve outside the Russian Federation and members of their families to be provided with official living quarters. Document published on the portal of legal information.
By law, such military personnel retain:
- the right to be on the lists of those in need of specialized living quarters;
- the right to be provided with official living quarters, living quarters in dormitories, rented living quarters;
- the right to payment of monetary compensation for renting a dwelling.
Similar rights will be granted to military personnel serving under a contract in certain regions of Russia, determined by the government. The law comes into force from the day of its publication.
Vladimir Putin in March 2022 signed the law on recognition as combat veterans of participants in the military operation in Ukraine. This status implies social benefits and monthly payments to military personnel, they also count double retirement.
