Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law that will allow changing the management company in an apartment building only once a year.
The bill explains that the measure does not apply to cases where the management company does not fulfill its obligations under the apartment building management agreement, as well as when the way the house is managed changes.
The restriction is aimed at unfair competition among managing organizations. The provisions of the Housing Code of Russia gave the right at any time, on the basis of the will of the owners, to change the Criminal Code. In this regard, the minutes of the general meeting were often falsified, and the tenants learned about the new company de facto.
After the adoption of the law, the owners will be able to unilaterally change the executor of the house management contract only after a year from the date of the conclusion of the contract.
