Putin signed a law banning travel abroad after receiving a summons

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law that prohibits travel abroad for work, study from the day the summons was sent to the military registration and enlistment office and from the moment it was placed in the register of those liable for military service. Amendments are being made to the law on the creation of a unified register of persons liable for military service, electronic subpoenas and new restrictions for failure to appear on them at the military registration and enlistment office, which was signed on April 14, 2023.

The amendments also give the right to military commissariats to decide on a ban on the day of sending a summons to a place of work or study. According to the law, the restrictions will be lifted after the person liable for military service appears at the military registration and enlistment office or provides a good reason for not showing up. The decision to lift the restrictions will be generated automatically in the military registration register.

The document was adopted by the deputies of the State Duma on July 25, approved by the Federation Council on July 28. Then there was accepted a law that increases penalties for non-attendance at the military enlistment office. Now, for failure to appear on the agenda without a good reason, the fine will be from 10,000 to 30,000 rubles.
