Head of State Vladimir Putin signed a decree increasing wages for certain categories of civil servants by 5.5% from October 1.
“In order to ensure social guarantees, from October 1, 2023, to increase by 1.055 times the monetary remuneration of persons holding public positions in the Russian Federation,” says the text of the decree, which can be found on the official website of legal information.
The list of government positions in Russia includes the president, the prime minister and his deputies, federal ministers and many others.
Earlier, Rosstat reported that real wages of Russians in the first half of the year increased by 7% compared to the same period in 2022.
