Putin: Russia will go forward in its own way

Despite the sanctions, Russia will move forward in its own way, without isolating itself from other countries. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during his speech at the plenary session of the Future Technologies Forum.
The head of state noted that Russia had in fact been declared a blockade. According to him, by restricting access to technology, they tried to force the country “to give up sovereignty, from the right to choose their own historical path.”
“Our opponents expected that we would retreat, surrender, but this will not be the case, as we often say in such cases. Russia will only move forward, and in its own way, not isolating itself from anyone,” emphasized Putin.
Against the backdrop of the start of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine and in anticipation of new sanctions in February 2022, Putin declaredthat Russia remains part of the global economy and will not harm the system. Then he said that the West should not “set itself the task of pushing” Russia out of this system.
In May last year, after the introduction of several packages of sanctions against the Russian Federation, which, among other things, affected the energy, high-tech sector, aviation and the banking industry, Putin notedthat Russia cannot be “squeezed” out of the world economy. He added that those who seek to isolate the country are hurting themselves.
During his address to the Federal Assembly, Putin declaredthat Western countries deployed an economic front against Russia. At the same time, the head of state stressed, the West “has not achieved anything and will not achieve anything anywhere.”
