Putin: Macron’s sharp reaction to the Russian Federation may be related to Africa
Russian President Vladimir Putin, in an interview with Dmitry Kiselev, said that the sharp reaction of French President Emmanuel Macron to the Russian Federation may be related to actions in Africa.
It is clarified that Kiselev asked Putin whether anti-Russian statements by French representatives could be revenge for the fact that the Russian Federation “stepped on the tail” of France in Africa.
“I think yes, there is some kind of resentment. However, at the time when Macron and I maintained direct contacts, we discussed this topic quite frankly,” Putin said.
Let us recall that earlier the head of state said that the Russian Federation did not interfere in Africa and did not squeeze France out of there. At the same time, African leaders themselves wanted to work with Russia.
