Putin recommended giving land in the Moscow region and Crimea to those who distinguished themselves during the special operation

President Vladimir Putin order introduced additional measures of social support for the military, as well as members of their families. The document contains a recommendation to the authorities of the Moscow Region, Crimea and Sevastopol to provide free land plots to the military who distinguished themselves during the military operation, as well as to the families of those who died during the operation.

“Recommend to the state authorities of the Moscow region, Crimea and Sevastopol to adopt legislative acts establishing … cases of granting property free of charge to servicemen who were awarded state awards of the Russian Federation for their merits shown during their participation in the SVO, and who are veterans of military operations, as well as to family members of these servicemen who died ( deceased) as a result of an injury or illness received by them in the course of participation in the SVO, land plots, ”the order says. The provided plots must be in state or municipal ownership.

The Government of the Russian Federation was instructed to ensure the conclusion of appropriate agreements with officials from the Moscow Region, Crimea and Sevastopol. “This order comes into force from the date of its signing,” the document says.

By September the Ministry of Defense developed a document on additional social guarantees for those who distinguished themselves during a special operation in Ukraine. According to the project, they will be able to receive free land plots in the Moscow region, Crimea and Sevastopol.

In November in Sevastopol in the second reading accepted a law according to which land plots for individual housing construction will be provided free of charge on a priority basis to city residents participating in a special operation.

In December, the State Council of Crimea accepted a law according to which the participants of the special operation will be provided with land plots free of charge in the republic. In addition, amendments were also made to the regional law, expanding the list of privileged categories of citizens eligible for the provision of plots.
