Among them – the receipt of reliable information about the launch of ballistic missiles attacking the territory of Russia and / or its allies; the use by the enemy of nuclear weapons and other types of weapons of mass destruction in the territories of Russia; impact on critical Russian state or military installations, the failure of which will lead to the disruption of retaliatory actions of nuclear forces; aggression against Russia with the use of conventional weapons, when the existence of the state is threatened.
By order of the President, the strategic deterrence forces of the Russian army have been on special combat duty since February 27. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu in August spokethat from a military point of view in Ukraine there is no need to use nuclear weapons.
