During his speech at a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects, President Vladimir Putin touched upon the topic of reorienting the main supplies of Russian energy resources to the markets of friendly countries and drew the audience’s attention to a significant increase in the volume of corresponding exports.
“Over the nine months of this year, oil exports to partner countries have grown by almost a quarter,” Putin said.
The growth in Russian energy exports is taking place against the backdrop of continued efforts by the US and the EU to reduce, if not the consumption of Russian oil, then the profits that the country receives from exports.
