Putin proposed to promote special operation veterans to the leadership of special services

Veterans of the special operation must be promoted to senior positions in law enforcement and special services. This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with military correspondents on June 13.
“Veterans of the special operation should be moved to the leadership not only of the RF Armed Forces, but also of law enforcement agencies and special services,” declared head of state (TASS quote).
According to Putin, against the backdrop of a special operation in Russia, “parquet generals” came to light, but they very quickly showed their inefficiency, allowing the right people to advance.
At the meeting, the president also said that Russia needs to expand the work of the special services against the backdrop of the work of Ukrainian agents. “We just need to improve the work of law enforcement and special services. It seems to me that the tasks in this regard are solvable,” noted President (quote from RIA Novosti).
On June 9, the Ministry of Defense proposed to grant the status of a combat veteran to persons who defend the regions adjacent to the special operation areas in Ukraine and in new subjects. In April, the President of the Russian Federation signed a law on granting the status of veterans and invalids of military operations to militias who fought on the side of the DPR and LPR since May 12, 2014.
