A pensioner from the Novosibirsk region told President Vladimir Putin that in his region housing and communal services tariffs will increase in the range from 9 to 14%. Pension indexation at 7.5% will not cover this increase. The head of state promised to separately study this situation and recalled the benefits provided to pensioners. In particular, pensioners will no longer pay a commission to pay for housing and communal services.
“We plan to increase tariffs from 9% to 14%, that is, 7.5% of the pension supplement will be eaten up,” a resident of Novosibirsk indicated during the “Results of the Year.” “I’ll see what’s going on with tariffs in Novosibirsk—we’ll definitely look and analyze,” Vladimir Putin promised.
“But is this right, what a primitive service (payment for housing and communal services.— “Ъ”), do you still need to pay a commission to the bank? — the host of the final press conference, Pavel Zarubin, asked the president. He noted that citizens had received many questions on this topic. “This is wrong, especially if it concerns pensioners. And the decision has just been made; the commission will not be paid by pensioners,” said Vladimir Putin.
December 7 State Duma accepted in the third reading is a law abolishing bank commissions when paying for housing and communal services for certain categories of the population. In particular, the commission will not be charged to pensioners, disabled people, low-income people and military veterans.
