President Vladimir Putin said that the authorities will continue to index the minimum wage (minimum wage). By 2030, it should almost double, to 35 thousand rubles.

“We will definitely continue to index the minimum wage, which has already been significantly increased with the assistance of trade unions. By 2030, the minimum wage should almost double, to 35 thousand rubles,” said Mr. Putin at the congress of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia (quote from TASS). He noted that increasing the minimum wage will have a positive impact on real wages “both in the economy and in the public sector.”

The government, as the president recalled, must develop a new model of remuneration for public sector employees in 2025, as part of pilot projects. He expects to find a solution in dialogue with trade unions.
