Putin noted the “tremendous” work of the media during the special operation

Thanks to the work of the media in Russia, it was possible to build the unity of society, which, during a special military operation, showed the cohesion that the country needed, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with war correspondents.

A fragment of the meeting with the military commanders, which took place on June 13 in the Kremlin, was shown in the program “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin” on the channel “Russia 1”.

“This is our great advantage, ours, Russia. And ours is with you, with the media, because this is a very huge work of the media – that we, together with you, have recently built the unity of Russian society. And in the course of hostilities, military operations, it showed the cohesion that Russia needs,” said head of state (quote from RIA Novosti).

Putin this week Meets with military officers in the Kremlin and answered journalists’ questions about the course and goals of the special military operation in Ukraine, the domestic military-industrial complex and enemy losses. In particular, the president said that the goals of the special operation in Ukraine are fundamental, but they can change in accordance with the current situation. He clarified that the special operation is a response to the crossing of “red lines”.

At the meeting, the president also spoke about the need to strengthen the Russian border and called the problem of drone attacks on the border regions solvable. In his opinion, Kyiv is attacking the border regions in order to divert Russian troops and force them to withdraw some of the units that are considered the most important and critical in terms of a possible offensive by the Ukrainian armed forces. Putin also acknowledged that the Russian army lacks many things, including ammunition, UAVs, communications equipment. However, the special operation gave an understanding of how to fine-tune the defense industry so that the army becomes the best in the world.
