Putin: NATO’s full potential is being used against Russia today

Today, almost the entire potential of NATO is actively used against Russia, however, Russian troops continue to solve the tasks assigned to them step by step, informed Russian President Vladimir Putin at an extended meeting of the board of the Ministry of Defense.

“It is well known that today the military potential and capabilities of almost all major NATO countries are actively used against Russia. Nevertheless, our soldiers, sergeants and officers are fighting for Russia courageously and steadfastly. Confidently, step by step, they solve the tasks set,” he said.

Earlier this month, Putin said that the special operation was “going on as usual.” The Russian army has no problems in the war zone, according to the president. The President explained that the conflict resolution process would difficult and will take time. According to him, all parties will have to “accept the realities that are taking shape on the ground.”

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24. Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. In response, Western countries imposed large-scale sanctions against Russia and began to provide military assistance to Ukraine. Western military aid to Ukraine totaled $40 billion, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said November 30.

At the same time, the Russian authorities have repeatedly criticized the supply of Western weapons to Kyiv. In particular, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, has repeatedly pointed out that pumping Ukraine with weapons brings NATO closer to the dangerous line of a direct military clash with Russia.
