Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov in Pyatigorsk. This was announced by the press secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov, write “RIA News”.
According to him, the head of state will stay in the North Caucasus Federal District for one more day to hold meetings with the leaders of its constituent regions – Dagestan, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, North Ossetia – Alania, Chechnya and the Stavropol Territory.
Earlier today, on May 19, Putin held a meeting of the Council on Interethnic Relations, during which he spoke about the ongoing attacks by Western countries on Russia’s cultural property. The President stressed that it is Russia’s diversity and multinationality that make it stronger.
The last time a meeting of the Council for Interethnic Relations with the participation of the President was held on March 30, 2021 via videoconference. Then the main topic of the meeting was “strengthening the all-Russian civic identity.”
