Russian President Vladimir Putin held a separate meeting with the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, in Pyatigorsk. This was announced on Friday, May 19, by the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.
Peskov did not speak about the agenda of the meeting and the issues discussed at it.
The Kremlin spokesman noted that on May 20, the president plans meetings with leaders of other regions of the North Caucasus Federal District.
The head of Chechnya actively supports the Russian special operation in Ukraine and has himself repeatedly visited the NVO zone. On May 18, Kadyrov said that fighters from one of the most combat-ready units, the 96th operational regiment of the SKO VNG of the Russian Federation, advanced from Grozny to the zone of the special operation. Chechen military personnel well preparedthey took part in the fight against international terrorism on the territory of the republic, and also participated in special measures to neutralize bandits in the zone of the NMD.
