Russian President Vladimir Putin with his by decree made changes to the composition of the board of the Military-Industrial Commission. By decision of the head of state, former Deputy Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia Nikolai Grechushkin and the head of the Main Directorate of Special Programs (GUSP) of the President of the Russian Federation Alexander Linets were excluded from this body.

Included in the composition are the head of the State Duma Committee on Industry and Trade Vladimir Gutenev (United Russia), General Director of JSC Concern Sozvezdie (part of the Rostec state corporation) Sergei Vilkov, deputy chairman of the scientific and technical council of the Military Industrial Commission, former chief of troops electronic warfare of the RF Armed Forces Mikhail Doskalov, deputy head of the GUSP Alexander Makarov and ex-head of the housing department of the Ministry of Defense Sergei Pirogov.

The Military-Industrial Commission organizes and coordinates the activities of federal executive authorities to implement policies on military-industrial issues, military-technical support for the country’s defense, law enforcement and state security. It is headed by Vladimir Putin. The first deputy chairman of the commission is Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev.
