Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decree on the appointment of an additional payment for citizens who were awarded the badge “Inhabitant of the besieged Stalingrad”. Every month they will be paid an additional 500 rubles.
The badge of honor “Inhabitant of besieged Stalingrad” is awarded to citizens who during the Battle of Stalingrad from August 23, 1942 to February 2, 1943 were in the city of Stalingrad (now Volgograd).
According to the information of the Committee for Social Protection of the Population of the Volgograd Region, as of the end of March, 3,997 people were awarded the sign “Inhabitant of besieged Stalingrad”. For holders of the status, in particular, a monthly cash payment of 443 rubles is provided. and a monthly payment to compensate for 50% of the cost of housing and communal services.
From April 28, for citizens awarded with the sign “Inhabitant of the besieged Stalingrad”, distributed by the status of a veteran of the Great Patriotic War. Now they have the right to simultaneously receive two pensions, monthly cash payments and the opportunity to improve their living conditions at the expense of the federal budget.
