Putin instructs to create in the government a special center for the rehabilitation of wounded soldiers

Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with members of the Human Rights Council, said that the government needs to create a special center that will oversee work on the rehabilitation of wounded soldiers. The president promised to make the order to create the center “literally today or tomorrow”.

“It will be necessary in the very near future to create a special center in the social block of the government that will deal with this, and somewhere at the level of the deputy governor for social issues in all regions of the Russian Federation to allocate such a line of work,” said Mr. Putin (TASS quote) .

The President drew attention to the fact that the issues of assistance to the wounded and disabled servicemen as a whole “need to be approached more seriously.” In particular, according to Mr. Putin, it is necessary to establish a system of paying for travel to the place of rehabilitation, improve equipment, and provide medicines to all those in need.

“Here, of course, it is necessary to establish prosthetics in a modern way, we have all the possibilities for this. It is only necessary in a timely manner, now this time has just come, to expand the capabilities of our respective specialized enterprises and organizations. And to arrange this work,” Vladimir Putin stressed.
