Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to develop and submit proposals for the establishment of a professional holiday in Russia – Psychologist’s Day, by June 30. The corresponding instruction was published on the Kremlin website.
Earlier, the head of state called in vain the lack of attention of the authorities to the development of psychological services in our country, when 15% of Russians need the help of psychologists.
In December, at a meeting with participants in the II Congress of Young Scientists, he cited data from VTsIOM, and said that “we have these [психологические] services are not yet developed accordingly.”
The Russian leader then noted that today the activity of psychologists is all the more in demand. “We will definitely work on this,” Putin promised then.
